2009 - Three Rivers Shiraz- Chris Ringland Full body with dark purple color to the rim. Highly concentrated nose with iridescent sweetness of ripe heart-cherries, ripe bananas, dates, vanillin and dark toffee. The wine hits the palate with a silky and highly concentrated flow of juicy black cherries, cassis liqueur, fondant of dark chocolate, dried banana chips, vanilla bean, cardamom and South-East-Asian spice box adding additional complexity and varieties of aromas to an impressive finish of over fifty seconds. 2008 is clearly a centennial vintage for Barossa with heatwaves that lead to extreme ripeness and high dry extracts in the wines although without overcharging the palate of wine lovers. The Hoffmann is lready wonderful to drink but still with a long term future like a monumental motion-picture in the glass that never looses its class!  Chris Ringland & Hoffmann 		 {Shiraz 2008} 2010 Dimchurch Shiraz Fully body with deep purple. Very dense and meaty-muscular nose with dark chocolate, cherry and a hint of licorice. On the palate silky tannins. Broader and stronger than the Hoffmann with forceful current of dark chocolate, amarena cherry, morello, cherry brandy, spices and fruitcake. Orange zest add a welcomed fresh note to the wine with a salty finish. Already beautiful to drink while still being very youthful.  Second tasting (48 hours later): A spectacular nose of black cherry, dark chocolate and dark toffee, vanilla bean and vanillin. On the palate, the wine develops extremely forceful with layers of glycerin that carry sweet caramel, vanilla cream, raspberry and blueberry. In the further development the wine is getting even creamier with aromas of banana chips and dried mangos. Fabulous length, now even longer than the 2010 Hoffmann Shiraz.    Chris Ringland - Dimchurch	    	{Shiraz 2010} 2009 - Three Rivers Shiraz- Chris Ringland Medium to full body with sparkle purple colour. Highly complex, fine and fresh nose with compote of rhubarb, thick soy sauce, mashed strawberries, dried figs, passion fruit and dark chocolate. Pure elegance on the palate with the ease of a dancing prima ballerina coating the roof oft he mouth despite an amazing concentration. Silky texture in the kick-off floating with aromas of dried strawberries, red currants, purée of fresh mangos, steak tartar, banana chips and pickled capers which add freshness and saltiness  to the finish of more than a minute. The wine has huge potential whilst being almost irresistible at this infant stage.  Chris Ringland (Three Rivers)         {Shiraz 2009}
